A world where all animals are free from exploitation and oppression

The conference in 2024 took place at Ungdommens Demokratihus, Slagtehusgade 10a, 1715 Copenhagen. The location can be reached within a 12 min walk away from Copenhagen Central Station (Metro: M3, M4; S-trains: A,B,C, E, H; Busses) or a 8 minute walk from Dybbølsbro Station (S-trains: A, B, C, E, H). The closest bus stops include lines 11, 23, 26 and 7A.

The site is located in Vesterbro, one of Copenhagen's nicest neighborhoods. It is a great place to enjoy a relaxed evening out and the lakes can be reached within a short walk.

The location for the conference in 2025 will be announced soon.

The conference ticket includes all meals for the weekend. For Saturday and Sunday, we provide you with breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks for both days. The details of the menu will be shared shortly before the event. You will have the opportunity to inform us about any food allergies or dietary restrictions during the ticket purchasing process. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact us via our email address calcopenhagen@gmail.com. We want to make sure that everybody is included and can enjoy the delicious food served throughout the conference. Of course, all provided food and drinks will be vegan. We will also make sure that the restrooms are provided with vegan soap.

The venue (Ungdommens Demokratrihus) is situated on the ground floor, with both the outside area and interior floor at the same level. A wheelchair accessible toilet is located in the entrance hall, and parking is available a few meters from the main entrance.

We offer access to FFP2 or K/N95 masks for anyone who wants to use them. Hand sanitizer will be available throughout the venue and air purifiers will be available to ensure better air quality.

Throughout the conference, there will be a community care team who you can turn to if you experience discomfort, uncomfortable situations, have safety concerns, or need someone to talk to.

There will be a dedicated quiet room to access whenever you need, for example, if you're over stimulated or need silence or solitude. If you notice others in the room, please respect each other's space.

Our venue features adjustable lighting to accommodate individuals with white light sensitivities, and the quiet room will be dimly lit. If the light settings are uncomfortable for you, please reach out to our volunteers.

We will offer color-coded bracelets that will communicate your social comfort level, whether you want to meet new people and socialize or keep to yourself. We also offer bracelets that indicate your preference to not be photographed. Of course, you can change your mind & bracelet at any time - please do what feels right for you.

The conference will be in English. If you require translation, you can speak to a volunteer and we will do our best to arrange appropriate support.
